How to Enter Workplace Host of the Year Award

The Workplace Host of the Year award recognises individuals who enhance workplace experiences through exceptional service, community support and personalised assistance. This award recognises Workplace Hosts who create welcoming, engaging environments for employees, visitors and stakeholders, helping workplace communities thrive.

Below you’ll find the eligibility criteria, entry rules, what you’ll need to prepare, and the questions asked in the application.

Who Can Enter (Eligibility)

Position
Open to workplace, community, and floor hosts, coordinators, and individuals in similar roles who are responsible for supporting workplace communities and enhancing the day‑to‑day experience of employees, visitors, and other stakeholders.

Eligible nominees should focus on creating a welcoming, service‑led environment and providing personalised assistance, supporting the day‑to‑day experiences of internal client employees, without holding direct line‑management responsibility for a team.

This category is open to individuals who may have ‘manager’ in their job title due to client specific naming conventions (e.g., Floor Manager, Community Manager), provided they do not hold formal line management responsibility for a team. In some workplaces, these titles are used interchangeably with non managerial roles such as Community Ambassador.

Employment Duration
You must have been employed by your current company for at least six months as of 1 January 2026.

Employment Status
Applicants must not be serving notice or planning to leave at the time of application and must hold a permanent contract (no temporary/agency placements). Placement students are not eligible.

Entry Rules (Submission Guidelines)

One Application per Organisation
Each organisation may submit one entrant. If more than one application is received, only the first will be considered.

Internal Selection Process Recommended
Given the limitation of one entry per organisation, it is strongly recommended that companies establish an internal selection process to choose the best candidate for nomination. This process should be fair, transparent, and open to all eligible receptionists within the organisation.

Required Endorsement
Your application must include a formal endorsement from your line manager confirming your service quality and suitability to represent the organisation.
